More commonly known as settlement, indefinite leave to remain can be applied for after residing in the UK for a number of years, dependant on the type of visa that you held. You can apply for indefinite leave to remain after you have spent time in the UK under certain types of visa including, but not limited to, as a spouse, as the victim of domestic abuse, as a family member (child or parent), as a high net individual, a refugee or as a worker.
