Adams is a highly respected firm of solicitors based in London. The firm was established in 1992 since when it has grown steadily. We now occupy three sites, one in east London (Whitechapel), one in west London (Fulham), and meeting facilities in the West End (Cavendish Square).

We work closely with individual clients. We also particularly specialise in providing practical help and realistic solutions for owners and managers of small and medium sized businesses throughout London and the surrounding counties.

Job Description
The post is as our Receptionist. You will be the first point of contact for the firm’s clients and will need to ensure that all clients are given a professional, courteous and co-operative reception. In addition you may also be required to assist fee-earners and other staff in other departments as and when necessary in tasks such as research, assisting in the progression of files/matters, meeting clients and taking instructions and any other administrative duties as may be necessary in the day to day business of Adams Solicitors.
Hours
The office hours are 9.00 am to 5.30 pm with one hour for lunch.
Key responsibilities
- Liaising with clients, ensuring that each receive a courteous, professional and engaging reception.
- Coordinating incoming and out-going mail including deliveries and liaising with couriers.
- Assisting all departments with research, file progression and meeting room preparations.
- General office management to ensure the effective and efficient running of the office.
- F/E diary management including court dates and client appointments.
- Busy switchboard operation, obtaining key information quickly and ensuring it’s accurately recorded and passed on
- Upkeep and maintenance of record keeping databases.
Person Specification
- Experience of working in a similar role in a small or medium sized organisation
- Well-presented and articulate
- Excellent telephone manner
- Excellent verbal/written communications skills
- Demonstrable experience of successfully planning and organizing meetings.
- Good Team Player
